Terms of Service
Last updated: May 5, 2026 · City Managers Ghana Ltd.
These Terms of Service govern your use of waste management services provided by City Managers Ghana Ltd. ("PCM"). Please read them carefully before registering.
1. Service Agreement
By registering for waste collection services, you ("the Client") enter into a service agreement with PCM governed by these terms. The agreement is effective from the date your registration is approved and a bin is delivered to your property.
2. Service Description
2.1 Residential Service
PCM provides a scheduled bin collection service for registered residential properties. Your collection schedule (days and frequency) is communicated at registration and visible in your client portal. PCM reserves the right to adjust collection days with a minimum of 7 days' notice.
2.2 Commercial Service
Commercial clients receive collection per the agreed service order. Custom frequencies, additional containers, and skip hire are governed by a separate commercial service agreement.
2.3 On-Demand Pickup
On-demand pickups are subject to crew availability and must be booked at least 24 hours in advance (4-hour minimum for emergency pickups). Pricing is displayed at booking and confirmed via SMS.
3. Client Obligations
- Ensure your bin is accessible at the roadside by 06:00 on your collection day.
- Use only PCM-assigned bins. Contaminating PCM bins with hazardous, medical, or prohibited waste is prohibited and may result in service suspension.
- Notify PCM of changes to your property or contact details within 14 days.
- Pay invoices within the period stated on each invoice (typically 7 days residential, 30 days commercial).
- Do not tamper with, damage, or remove PCM bins. Damaged bins will be charged for replacement at current market rates.
4. Billing and Payment
4.1 Invoicing
Invoices are issued monthly (residential) or per agreed cycle (commercial). Invoices are delivered via SMS, email, and/or the client portal.
4.2 Payment Methods
PCM accepts payment via MTN Mobile Money, Vodafone Cash, AirtelTigo Money, Visa/Mastercard (via Paystack), and bank transfer. Cash collection is available in selected areas.
4.3 Late Payment
Invoices not paid within the payment period attract a monthly interest charge of 2%. PCM reserves the right to suspend service after 30 days of non-payment and refer outstanding balances to a collections agency after 60 days.
4.4 Refunds
Overpayments are credited to your account. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and are processed within 14 working days.
5. Service Interruptions
PCM will use reasonable efforts to maintain the collection schedule. Interruptions due to public holidays, severe weather, road closures, or force majeure events will be communicated as soon as reasonably practicable. Credits are not issued for force majeure interruptions.
6. Missed Collections
If your bin is not collected on your scheduled day, report it via the client portal, SMS, or contact form within 48 hours. PCM will investigate and, where the miss was PCM's fault, arrange a catch-up collection or apply a credit to your next invoice.
7. Prohibited Waste
The following must not be placed in PCM bins:
- Hazardous chemicals, paints, solvents, or pesticides.
- Medical or clinical waste.
- Asbestos or other construction materials (contact PCM for commercial disposal).
- Electrical equipment (e-waste) — PCM offers a separate e-waste collection service.
- Hot ashes or burning materials.
- Liquids exceeding 5 litres.
Violation may result in immediate service suspension and additional charges for specialist disposal.
8. Service Suspension and Termination
PCM may suspend or terminate service for: non-payment after 30 days, prohibited waste violations, abuse of staff or contractors, or material breach of these terms. The Client may terminate service with 30 days' written notice. Bins must be returned within 7 days of termination.
9. Liability
PCM's liability for any claim arising under this agreement is limited to the total fees paid in the 3 months preceding the claim. PCM is not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses. Nothing in this agreement excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by PCM's negligence.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Disputes shall be resolved first through mediation and, if unresolved, in the courts of Ghana.
11. Amendments
PCM may amend these terms with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
